02. How to Set up Binance 2FA - Google Authenticator

 

The 2FA (2 Factor Authentication) system includes Google OTP along with mobile and email authentication. This increases security to protect digital assets.

 

Follow the following steps to set up Google OTP, and watch out for some points that need precaution.

 

1. Go to [Security] ➡︎ [Authenticator App] and Download Google Authenticator
2. Scan QR Code or Enter Manual Code
3. Save Backup Key
4. Enter Phone/Email Verification Code and Authenticator Code (Google OTP)

 

 

 

1. Go to [Profile] ➡︎ [Security] ➡︎ [Authenticator App]  

 

 

 

 

 

2. [Download Google Authenticator] on App Store for iOS or Google Play for android.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once you download the Google Authenticator App on your phone,

 

3. Scan QR Code shown in the screen below, or Enter Manual Code.

 

 

 

 

4. Save Backup Key

 

The Backup Key is essential when you don’t have access to your Google OTP code.

Make sure to save your Backup Key at a safe place, where only you can remember. Also, when changing your mobile device or formatting it, make sure to send the Google OTP account to another device.

 

 

 

 

 

5. Enter Phone Number/Email Verification Code ➡︎ Authenticator Code (Google OTP) 

 

 

 

Enter the Phone Number Verification Code, Email Verification Code, and Authenticator Code (Google OTP authentication number - 6 digits) to complete 2FA (2 Factor Authentication). Google OTP generates a new authentication code every 9 seconds for strong security, so make sure to enter the correct code in time.

 

 

 

After following these steps, Google OTP setup will be completed, and you can find it activated as in the screen shown below.
