07. How to Start Futures Trading on Binance
In futures trading, you can participate in market movements and make a profit by going long or short on a futures contract.
By going long, a trader buys a futures contract with the expectation that it will rise in value in the future.
By going short, a trader buys a futures contract with the expectation that it will drop in value in the future.
*The most traded contracts on cryptocurrency exchanges are Perpetual Futures
1. Go to [Derivatives] ➡︎ [Futures] and Open a Futures Account
USD-M Futures are contracts settled in USDT or BUSD coins, it uses USDT/BUSD as collateral.
COIN-M Futures are contracts settled in cryptocurrency, it uses cryptocurrency as collateral.
Select the type of futures that suits your needs.
2. Adjust the Position Mode - Set [Margin Mode] and [Leverage]
Cross Margin Mode : Share your margin balance across all open positions to avoid liquidation. In the event of liquidation, you risk losing your full margin balance along with any remaining positions.
Isolated Margin Mode : Manage your risk on individual positions by restricting the amount of margin allocated to each.
Adjust Leverage : The higher the leverage, the higher the risk
3. Transfer assets into your Futures account
From Spot Wallet ⬌ To USDT-M/COIN-M Futures
4. Open a Position - [Buy/Long] or [Sell/Short]
5. Monitor Position / Close Position
Monitor your position and Close your position on Market/Limit price.
