How to create trading view indicator alerts
Before automatically trading by linking 3COMMAS with TRADINGVIEW, you need to set up alerts in Trading View. In this lesson, we will learn how to create an alert in the trading view. Please note that each indicator may be slightly different!
First, go to Trading View Advanced Charts.
Then, click the alarm icon at the top (or press ALT + A).
A popup will appear like this, and I'll set it up according to the script I'm using.
Click the indicator preset in the condition.
As you can see, you need to prepare indicators in advance before creating an alarm.
In the second condition field, set it to upward breakthrough. Since the volatility breakout trading I use is a strategy to buy at the moment it breaks, I set the condition for entering a long position as "Breaking Up".
It can be different for each strategy and logic, so please keep in mind that my setting method is not 100% standard!
Then click "Once per bar".
This is achieved after certain conditions are met and then purchased,
This is a setting method that does not reorder even if the price falls and breaks again.
Next, set the expiration time of the alarm. You can set different period settings for each plan in Trading View.
I have to update the PRO version once every 3 months as the maximum is 3 months. On the other hand, the $600 plan, which is the highest price, is indefinite.
We will set the best possible date.
Then you can see that there is a 3COMMAS address in that webhook URL.
This is the URL you need to place a remote order with 3COMMAS in Trading View.
Webhook URL address: https://3commas.io/trade_signal/trading_view
If you click More Actions, you can also set alarm sounds and notifications. And the message at the bottom is very important, which we will discuss in detail next time.
First, click "Create" to create an alarm for the number of copies! Now let's set an alarm for sell.
Similarly, click the alarm icon on the chart screen again and set the same as the number of alarms. The only difference is that the second condition selects the condition that says "longExitCondition" (this is because the trading view indicator is named like this inside the script. If you type "let's sell" it will tell you to sell).
This time, "Option" is set to "Once when the rod is closed". A setting method in which a signal is generated whenever a condition is met. Normally, it is time cut at 09:00 in the morning.
And if you click “Create”, the buy/sell alarm setting is complete!
Trading view alarm setup is now complete!!
Next time, we will learn how to write a message to that trading alarm! It's not difficult, you just have to follow one by one.
